Karnessa is a licensed Property & Casualty insurance agent in Virginia and a licensed real estate referral agent affiliated with Samson Properties. With a strong financial and insurance foundation, she leverages an MBA in Finance, AAI designation, and over 35 years of multifaceted financial and insurance expertise -spanning commercial credit underwriting (22 years at Truist and Wells Fargo), commercial lines underwriting (6 years at Crum & Forster), personal lines underwriting (4 years at Great American Insurance Group), and claims adjusting (3 years at Great American Insurance Group) to provide exceptional, detail-oriented service to clients. Karnessa is an active professional and community leader, serving on the finance committee for the Central Virginia Chapter of the National African American Insurance Association (NAAIA) and as Secretary for the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 1703 in Prince George County, VA. Additionally, she speaks at community events and networks with local groups to educate people about the fiduciary bonding process. Karnessa also volunteers as an advocate for the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation, the American Diabetes Association, and Chemo Angels. Outside of her professional and philanthropic commitments, she maintains a dedicated fitness routine, enjoys traveling, and values time spent with her family.
